Curriculum

Entry Qual­i­fi­ca­tion  / Eli­gi­bil­i­ty

1. For admis­sion in the first year of Prak­shas­tri, it is nec­es­sary to have passed 10th class (High­er Edu­ca­tion Board, Dharamsha­la) with San­skrit sub­ject.

2. Stu­dents who have passed 10 + 2  exam­i­na­tion includ­ing San­skrit sub­ject can take admis­sion in Shas­tri first year.

3. After being reg­is­tered in Himachal Uni­ver­si­ty, no stu­dent will be eli­gi­ble to appear in any exam­i­na­tion con­duct­ed by Himachal Pradesh Board.

4. A stu­dent of class 10+2 with­out San­skrit sub­ject will again get admis­sion in the first year of Pra­ka Shas­tri.

5. 50 seats are reserved for first year Prak­shas­tra. In spe­cial cas­es, the deci­sion will be tak­en only by the author­i­ty of the Prin­ci­pal.

6. For the Vishisht­shas­tri degree, it will be nec­es­sary to study Eng­lish as a com­pul­so­ry sub­ject and any one of these option­al sub­jects — Politics/Hindi/History from Pracshastri‑1 itself.

7. Vishisht Shas­tri degree is rec­og­nized as Hon­ors in San­skrit sub­ject and B.A. with Clas­sic. There­fore, its scope is wider than ordi­nary grad­u­a­tion.

8. The facil­i­ties and qual­i­fi­ca­tions avail­able to grad­u­ate degree hold­ers in gov­ern­ment and non-gov­ern­ment sec­tors are also avail­able to eli­gi­ble Vishisht Shas­tris.

9. Vishisht Shas­tri is also eli­gi­ble for all types of exam­i­na­tions like NET, SET, IAS, HAS, IPS, IFS etc.

10. The eli­gi­bil­i­ty to do new research in high­er research fields and to pre­serve and pro­mote ancient Indi­an knowl­edge is also vest­ed in a spe­cial schol­ar.

11. Vishisht Shas­tri Degree of Hon­ors in San­skrit sub­ject gives the stu­dent state-of-the-art (Mod­ren)

12. To do B.Ed. from Himachal Pradesh, stu­dents will be required to study Polit­i­cal Sci­ence or His­to­ry. You can also study Hin­di sub­ject as per your wish.

Mate­ri­als required for admis­sion –

1. Two attest­ed copies of 10th class cer­tifi­cate.

2. An attest­ed copy of the last passed exam­i­na­tion.

3. Orig­i­nal copies of char­ac­ter cer­tifi­cate and migra­tion cer­tifi­cate obtained from school/university.

4. Four copies of the pho­to­graph.

Dis­ci­pli­nary Instruc­tions  / Guides

Morn­ing Ses­sion – Atten­dance of all stu­dents in the morn­ing prayer meet­ing at 9:40 is manda­to­ry. Finan­cial penal­ty will be giv­en to the stu­dent for not appear­ing on time.

Class exam­i­na­tions — Every month class exam­i­na­tions are orga­nized in the col­lege for every stu­dent to express his views on any sub­ject relat­ed to San­skrit in the morn­ing assem­bly. In which all the stu­dents will have to give exam­i­na­tions on relat­ed sub­jects every month. state of not appear­ing in exam

Class Atten­dance

1. Stu­dents’ atten­dance in class should be reg­u­lar on every occa­sion.

2. 75% atten­dance in the year is manda­to­ry.

3. If you remain absent for six con­sec­u­tive days, you will be expelled.

4. Re-entry will be allowed only once after pay­ing the pre­scribed fee.

Dis­ci­pline

1. All the stu­dents study­ing in the col­lege should main­tain dis­ci­pline in the class. Do not indulge in any kind of bad activ­i­ties.

2. If the teacher is not present in the class, fol­low the orders of the stu­dent who has spe­cial respon­si­bil­i­ties in the class.

3. Use of mobile phones is pro­hib­it­ed in the col­lege premis­es.

4. Fail­ure in the annu­al exam­i­na­tion of the Uni­ver­si­ty will result in denial of admis­sion.

5. In case of emer­gency admis­sion of failed stu­dents, the annu­al admis­sion fee will be dou­bled.

6. Arbi­trar­i­ly com­ing and going from school will be a pun­ish­able offence. The name of such a stu­dent will be sus­pend­ed from the col­lege and he will not be giv­en re-admis­sion.

Par­ent Teacher Meet­ings

Insti­tu­tion aims at trans­paren­cy at all lev­els, hence fre­quent par­ent teacher meet­ings are con­duct­ed to enhance and enrich rela­tions of par­ents with the insti­tu­tion for bet­ter results, and includ­ing par­ents for bet­ter eco-sys­tems for stu­dents. Hence the Mahavidyalaya has achieved an aver­age of 96% of pass out results since 30 years.
